Founded in 2023, The Crossway Foundation enriches Charlotte's youth and families by providing holistic support, foster growth, and create opportunities for those we serve, ensuring a brighter future for Charlotte's youth and their families. The Crossway Foundation exists to bolster these families, as well as Crossway Pediatric Therapy and Crossway Academy. Crossway Pediatric Therapy, started in 2004 by Shelley Dean, addressed a critical need for specialized pediatric care. Building on this, Crossway Academy was launched in 2011 to provide inclusive, therapeutic education. 

​The Crossway Foundation is a committed and passionate group comprising the Board of Directors, Executive Director, and Advisory Board Members. Our unwavering dedication is directed towards improving the lives of the children and families of Charlotte through a therapeutic approach to education. We firmly believe in the transformative power of education, especially when coupled with a nurturing and therapeutic environment.

The Crossway Foundation's primary goals are to:

• Expand access to Crossway Academy to include a broader range of children, ensuring inclusivity and diversity in our educational community.
• Bridge the financial gap between tuition fees and the actual expenses of educating children with special needs, guaranteeing that every child receives the necessary support.
• Attract and retain top-tier educators by offering continuous professional development opportunities and improved benefits, enhancing the quality of education we provide.
• The Crossway Foundation is committed to raising funds to assist prospective students with their educational fees. We plan to launch various fundraising initiatives, including donation drives, grant applications, corporate partnerships, and community events, with the goal of creating scholarship programs.
